Shine contributes to city plan Shine's vision is that young people in Porirua will shine. This priority is now firmly stated in the draft Long Term Plan for the city which proposes that children and young people will be at the centre of our city decisions. Check it out here. Speakers impress  The annual  Book Fair raised much needed funds for worthy projects. The inaugural North Island Rotary Best Speaker Awards helped to integrate our young people with disabilities into the community.  Exciting events ahead Make sure you grab the opportunity to sign up for this Programme if you're between the ages of 14-18.  Getting fit and having fun Make the most of this fabulous opportunity to meander from Pauatahanui village to Motukaraka Point on Te Ara Piko with family and friends. Following the results shared by Massey University last month, the Ministry of Education and Mana Community Grants Foundation are helping the Shine Literacy project to keep moving forward.
